PPL training - Instrument 1 (first part)

After my first solo, we had a short flight back to Karmøy, with planned arrival just after opening.

To get the most out of the flight back home, we used it to do the first part of the Instrument 1 lesson.

After departing Sola, I spent the remainder of the flight with the foggles on. All the way to final for runway 13 on Karmøy.

When we got closer to Karmøy, I got to attempt a simulated approach where I intersected the VOR.

Being told to take the foggles of at 3-400 feet, and then suddenly see the runway ahead of me was a very different experience!

The weather wasn’t the best by the time we touched down back home, so the timing this day was perfect!

After both preparations for, solo check, the first solo, and simulated IMC from Sola to Karmøy, I’m exhausted.

It will take a couple days to realize how epic this day really was.
