The Vännäs engine museum is dedicated to anything with an engine in that has some kind of connection to Vännäs. The museum itself is inside one of Sweden’s oldest aircraft hangars.

A little bit of everything
Inside you will find everything from a large collection of boat motors, to a home built amateur helicopter. And several aircraft, which is why we consider this museum an aviation museum.

Well worth the visit
Most of the aviation related artifacts are located on the upper floor. Here you will also find the history of the airfield that once occupied the land outside this hangar. This entire area used to be a military base.
This relatively small museum is well worth a visit! Interesting, and a bit different.

Gift shop
The museum does not have a gift shop, but you can get something to drink and ice cream at the entrance.
How much time should you plan to spend here?
