Teknikland is a gathering of four different museums related to the military history, vehicles and old technology in the Jämtland region of Sweden. It is located at the Optand airfield.

Two large hangars
The aviation part, besides the old military jets located outside, consists of two interconnected hangars. This is mainly a military museum, and the newest hangar (enter through the first one) is the one where you will find the most fun for the family.

There are small pedal aircraft for the children, a control tower they can climb into, a building station for paper airplanes, and several cockpits you can climb into. The children can even try on a parachute rig, and hang from the ceiling. This is how you inspire the next generation!

Gift shop
The museum has a small gift shop, and a nice restaurant.
How much time should you plan to spend here?
You should plan to spend about 2-3 hours at this museum. More or less, depending on how much of the non-aviation parts you want to visit.
