Theory courses for English speaking students

One of the best parts about EASA, is that you can shop around all of Europe for your training needs. The following is a list of PPL theory courses that I believe are some of the best options for my English speaking students.

The theory for PPL is usually based on distance learning, and all you need is a theory school that is capable of submitting the necessary papers to the competent authority you decide to take your exams with. Since you don’t want to take the theory in Norwegian, you might need to shop around for a competent authority as well. Austrocontrol has testing stations all over the world, and there are lots of other alternatives as well.

Oslo Flight Academy

Oslo Flight Academy is a Norwegian ATO which offers all kinds of modular courses, including PPL(A) theory course in English.

Bristol Ground School

Bristol Ground School is a large commercial ground school, that specializes in theory courses. I used parts of their material for my own CPL theory training. They also offer an EASA PPL theory course (make sure you select the EASA version, and not UK CAA).
